🗣️ Reported Speech (การรายงานคำพูด)
Reported Speech ใช้เล่าคำพูดของคนอื่น โดยเปลี่ยน Tense ย้อนหลัง 1 ขั้น: is → was, eat → ate, will → would, can → could และเปลี่ยนสรรพนาม: 'I' → he/she, 'my' → his/her ไม่ต้องใส่เครื่องหมาย " " แต่ใช้ that แทน เช่น She said, 'I am tired.' → She said (that) she was tired.
ประโยคตัวอย่าง
He said he was tired.
เขาบอกว่าเขาเหนื่อย (Direct: 'I am tired.')
She told me she would come.
เธอบอกฉันว่าเธอจะมา (Direct: 'I will come.')
They said they had finished the work.
พวกเขาบอกว่าทำงานเสร็จแล้ว
He asked if I was free that evening.
เขาถามว่าฉันว่างคืนนั้นไหม
She told him not to be late.
เธอบอกให้เขาอย่ามาสาย
The teacher said that practice makes perfect.

ข้อผิดพลาดที่คนไทยเจอบ่อย
He said me he was tired.→He told me he was tired.
say กับ tell ต่างกัน: say + (that) + clause; tell + someone + (that) + clause — ห้ามใช้ say me
She said that she will come.→She said that she would come.
เมื่อ report คำพูดในอดีต ต้องเปลี่ยน will → would (Tense ย้อนหลัง 1 ขั้น)
He asked that where I lived.→He asked where I lived.
คำถาม indirect ใช้ where/when/if ตรงๆ ไม่ต้องมี that นำหน้า — He asked where I lived.
She said me to come early.→She told me to come early.
คำสั่ง/คำขอใน Reported Speech ใช้ tell someone + to + V, ไม่ใช่ say
